What To Do When It Seems Unfair

Posted by Aaron Walker on Nov 12, 2021 9:00:00 AM

What do you do when it seems unfair? When you see that things seem to be unfair, try to step back for a minute, reassess things and see things from a different perspective. You will then realize that things are not that unfair and there's a great opportunity just right in front of you.

Purpose May Never Be Found In Your Occupation

Posted by Aaron Walker on Oct 27, 2021 9:00:00 AM

I want to talk to you about one of the reasons that you're struggling in your present occupation today....it's the lack of clarity. Let me tell you what I'm talking about on that. I think many people tie their identity up into what they do, right? We can't do that! We can't tie our identity up into our occupation! For me, I'm a Christ-follower, so my identity is tied up in Jesus Christ. That's first and foremost. What's most important in my life so that's where my identity has got to be tied. Many people are trying to get purpose out of their occupation rather than what they can do with those resources. You can take those resources and do other things to give you that sense of purpose and meaning.

Mindset Is Key

Here’s something that I think is really important, not just in fishing, but in everyday life.

Mindset is everything. It doesn't matter what we're doing. Whether it's fishing or hunting or playing golf or working…or with our wife or with our children.

Mindset I think is a real important piece. Go ahead and watch the video to learn more about that I am talking about.

The Two Main Culprits That Can Destroy Your Future Success

Posted by Aaron Walker on Sep 30, 2021 9:00:00 AM

I do want to tell you about something that I think could really help you - there are two main culprits that can destroy your future success. One is ISOLATION and the other one is SELF-DOUBT. The reason it matters today is that we were designed to be in the community. We weren't designed to be alone, we're designed to be around a lot of people.

I've discovered that when you're around other people, it really eliminates loneliness and low self-esteem. Oftentimes, we have social anxiety, and being around other people eliminates a lot of that. Listen, I've worked with a lot of people for a lot of years and I do understand the value of being in a community, being around other people.
