Hey, there's a few good men out there. I want to tell you a reason I'm saying that. My family gets onto me a lot of times, they'll say, "Man you hammer these guys you're always saying what they don't do. You need to reach out sometimes and say the good things that they do." And it made me feel about that tall. I said, "Man, you're right you know." I do these guys pretty hot and heavy sometimes but I want to tell you something we've got some of the most outstanding men on the planet in Iron Sharpens Iron Mastermind Group. Now I got to confess a couple of things to you though in regards to telling you how happy I am and excited about the good job that they do. I planned an event coming up pretty soon and there was a number of guys that I invited to this event and one of the guys that I knew were going to be there. I mean it was no question he needed to be there and I needed him to be there. He turned me down bigger than Dallas! He's like, "I can't make it." And I'm like, "Well what is the deal? Where are you gonna be?" And he said, "Well my 17 year old daughter graduates from high school this year. She's gonna be going off to college and she's got an event at school and parents are asked to be there. And I don't want to miss it." And I'm like, "Are you kidding me? I mean this is a big deal event!" And he's like, "Hey, let me tell you something. This is a big deal. This is my daughter." And then I started thinking about I said, You know, he's doing exactly what I've been teaching all these years. He's excited me after I got mad! It excited me to think that he would stand up and honor his daughter more so than a business transaction!

We get really messed up sometimes only thinking about growth. Growth of the business itself -growth by expanding, being bigger and better. But we need to be serving the ones that we are with! The ones that we made promises to a year or 2 ago. The best way for us to grow is serve the one that you promised that you will take care of them.

Hey, do you realise that you own something that can't be bought? Let me tell you what it is....... It's your reputation. Do you realize fully how important your reputation is? Man, it follows you everywhere. You're building a reputation each and every day. With each and every transaction you're building your reputation. Your reputation follows you. It's something that you can't get rid of and many times in life we'll make decisions in the gray and eventually that catches up to you because it's your reputation. It's something that follows you how hard. Do you work on your character? What are you doing today to be above reproach? Are you honest? I want to talk to you about one of the reasons that you're struggling in your present occupation today....it's the lack of clarity. Let me tell you what I'm talking about on that. I think many people tie their identity up into what they do, right? We can't do that! We can't tie our identity up into our occupation! For me, I'm a Christ-follower, so my identity is tied up in Jesus Christ. That's first and foremost. What's most important in my life so that's where my identity has got to be tied. Many people are trying to get purpose out of their occupation rather than what they can do with those resources. You can take those resources and do other things to give you that sense of purpose and meaning.
