How To Be A Connector

Posted by Aaron Walker on Apr 6, 2022 9:00:00 AM

I cannot emphasize this enough but it is so important to be the "connector". I have come to learn this years and years ago, probably decades ago now, that it has paid the most dividends in my professional career as well as personally ..... how to be a connector. To be a connector, you simply connect people that need to know each other on a daily basis. I mean, literally, on a daily basis. Such practice or habit has its value/importance. It is so important to get an introduction to the other person or vice-versa. It cuts to about 90% of the bureaucracy, the red tape, if you will, by introducing someone to somebody because they assume that they have already been vetted - they know that they are a good person.

Are You Playing Not To Lose?

Posted by Aaron Walker on Apr 4, 2022 9:00:00 AM

Avoid living your personal life like playing not to lose and not to win. I'd like to encourage you to do that. Do not be afraid and tackling things that come in our way. We need to be going forward. Guys, we cannot live so conservative, run the clock out, be complacent (like what's being done by a winning team in ball games when the game is about to end) and not living to win, we are living to protect and to not lose. You will avoid boredom by "playing to win". You will be successful by "playing to win". Life is an adventure. Go forward. Press on!

Is Your Lack Of Discipline Worth The Loss?

Posted by Aaron Walker on Apr 1, 2022 9:00:00 AM

What is it in your life that you need more discipline? When are you going to move, step to the plate and do the things that you are planning to do? We cannot keep on talking the same thing w/o implementing! It is useless with no implementation. We got to have a level of discipline in our lives in order for us to reach the success that we want. It will be hard! Temptation will be there for us to be swayed to another direction or us not doing the outlined plan. Stay in the course. Be the marathon runner not the sprinter. Man up! Get that discipline and stay with it! I promise you, the gain is worth it if you will stick with it in a longe term.

How Five Minutes A Day Could Change Your Success

Posted by Aaron Walker on Mar 30, 2022 9:00:00 AM

What can we do repetitively for 5 minutes that could change our life if we do it each and every day? I understand we are all busy, there's a lot in our plate but we have to organize our day. We have to build systems. We have to build processes that can help us accomplish things, things that matter.

If you want to read a book that could possibly change your life in a good way, get the book titled "The Talent Code: Greatness Isn't Born. It's Grown. Here's How. by Coyle, Daniel". I do not get a quarter in endorsing this book, but man, it is that good! It is absolutely outstanding! This could be in the top 10 or maybe top 20 that I have read in probably the past 5 years.
