What are you going to do if you are in a bleak or unfamiliar situation? Are you just going to sit there? Do nothing? Just sulk in a corner?

I titled this no one is following you because you don't have a vision. Let me tell you what I mean by that. Man, years ago a guy shared with me, he said, '"Hey, where there is no vision the people perish." I know that's a biblical reference but it applies to us today in our lives. I want to encourage you guys to write down your vision. Draw a map. I know it may seem foreign to you but nobody's gonna follow you in your family if they don't know where they're going. You couldn't get to Stephenville Texas right now from Nashville Tennessee without a road map.

I gotta be honest with you. Some of you need a little bit of that work ethic. Some of you need to breathe that into your children. Some of you need to teach them that they are not entitled - that you are not going to give everything. Listen, the harder you work the blessed you get - that's why I have titled this "A little bit of effort goes a long way." I just want to encourage you guys today that when you teach your children or grandchildren to work is not gonna kill 'em.

You know, every time my grandkids come to the house and spend the night, we get up the next morning we eat breakfast and we go around the table and I ask them "What are you grateful for today? What is something good in your life?" And they have the cutest little comments. Things that they're so excited about. When we start the mastermind group meetings every single day the first thing we talk about is our wins. Every Monday morning 9 o'clock, our whole team meets virtually on Zoom, first thing we do is give us your wins. Where are you killing it? Where are you crushing it? It helps develop our attitude every morning.
I got a message this morning for a few you. There are not many in this community that does this, I know, I'm not talking to the majority of you but I am talking to a few of you. Man, we got some complainers in the world. We got some people that are unhappy, ungrateful, unthankful, that are always looking for something to complain about. Well, let me tell you the reason I titled this "Being a constant complainer could be costing you a fortune" - nobody wants to be around you!
I'm just being honest with you. There are private conversations going on right now behind your back, with your friends that go like "We are not going to invite him to the party, he's not going to be on the board of directors, there's no way I would ever invite that guy to be a part of our business or to be on our team" because you gripe non-stop you're always complaining about something.

I'm reading a great book right now called "The Talent Code". There are a couple of guys in our mastermind group that recommended this book. I started thinking back about these guys in their history, their work history, their work ethic. These guys are off the chart! I mean, they have seven-figure businesses! They've been very successful throughout. Life has been successful and all the things that they've done personally and I started thinking, "Man, I might order and check this book out!" So now we bought a copy for everybody in our mastermind group. We're taking 130 guys through The Talent Code and what The Talent Code is about, is DEEP PRACTICE. It builds myelin in your brain. These neural pathways help us understand how to do the deep work and how to stay on task with doing the things that we need to do and it's through this deep practice.
