A Little Bit Of Effort Goes A Long Way

Posted by Aaron Walker on Dec 2, 2019 9:00:00 AM

I gotta be honest with you. Some of you need a little bit of that work ethic. Some of you need to breathe that into your children. Some of you need to teach them that they are not entitled - that you are not going to give everything. Listen, the harder you work the blessed you get - that's why I have titled this "A little bit of effort goes a long way." I just want to encourage you guys today that when you teach your children or grand children to work is not gonna kill 'em.

Purpose May Never Be Found In Your Occupation

Posted by Aaron Walker on Nov 29, 2019 9:00:00 AM

I want to talk to you about one of the reasons that you're struggling in your present occupation today....it's the lack of clarity. Let me tell you what I'm talking about on that. I think many people tie their identity up into what they do, right? We can't do that! We can't tie our identity up into our occupation!

For me, I'm a Christ-follower, so my identity is tied up in Jesus Christ. That's first and foremost. What's most important in my life so that's where my identity has got to be tied. Many people are trying to get purpose out of their occupation rather than what they can do with those resources. You can take those resources and do other things to give you that sense of purpose and meaning.

Deep Practice

Posted by Aaron Walker on Nov 27, 2019 9:00:00 AM

I'm reading a great book right now called "The Talent Code". There's a couple of guys in our mastermind group that recommended this book. I started thinking back about these guys in their history, their work history, their work ethic. These guys are off the chart! I mean, they have seven-figure businesses! They've been very successful throughout.

Life has been successful and all the things that they've done personally and I started thinking, "Man, I might order and check this book out!" So now we bought a copy for everybody in our mastermind group. We're taking 130 guys through The Talent Code and what The Talent Code is about, is DEEP PRACTICE. It builds myelin in your brain. These neural pathways that help us understand how to do the deep work and how to stay on task with doing the things that we need to do and it's through this deep practice.

You Want To Be Successful?

If we would do business like the way athletes play sports, we would WIN! Hands down! We need to set boundaries. We need to have accountability. We need to have a coach. We need to have a referee. We need to be aware of the lines. We also need to have the sabbath.
