Celebrate your kid, regardless. Let him feel that he is loved unconditionally. Let him feel that he is an amazing kid. I promise you here's what will happen. You'll grow up young men and young women not thinking they have to earn your love, not thinking that when they do good they get rewarded, when they do bad to get punished. So their whole identity is tied up into performance and I want to tell you that's miserable. We got to learn that our identity is not tied up into our possessions or into our financial wherewithal or our titles.

Are they like looking forward to it or they like run and jump up in your arms or they like run into the room and hiding or they're coward and down and they don't want anything to do with you because dad's in a bad mood?
