It's Been 3 Months Already!

I can't believe 3 months have already passed since kicking off www.ViewFromTheTop.com - a site dedicated to life coaching, mentoring, character building - among other things.

A Lot Has Already Happened:

I'm connecting with new followers and fellow bloggers every week.  The Facebook page is growing. I'm getting ready to launch my new mastermind group soon. I am continuing to serve as a life coach and mentor to some incredible men who are ready to take their life to "the top". This is fun!

What Does It Really Cost?

I have always wanted to live on the lake.

But I've come to learn over the years to ask, "What does it really cost?"

We have had 8 to 10 acres at a time with a couple different homes over the past 35 years. We recently scaled back as we are now empty nesters and we do not need as much room as we had.

We bought a great house sitting in the middle of the woods where nature abounds. The view is amazing and deer and turkey are plentiful. I decided to take a break this morning for a couple hours and head to the lake for a little R & R.

Are You Competent?

In my one-on-one life-coaching sessions, we focus on achieving fulfillment and satisfaction in life.

We do this by exploring three critical "competency" areas: I define "competency" as the ability to do something successfully or efficiently.  

Here are the 3 areas -

  • Focus
  • Improvement
  • Balance
Just like an athletic coach, a life coach has to:
  • challenge weakness,
  • encourage strength,
  • and guide others to execute with mastery.

Is This a Limit or an Obstacle?

Limit_or_an_obstacle_in_your_business_life

When setting goals it's important to set them high enough to cause you to stretch and grow. But you also need to set goals that don't go beyond the limits of who you are and how God made you.

Are you trying to achieve something in your business or life to gain approval from others?  Or are you chasing after what makes you happy and lines up with your own hopes and dreams? If not you might be trying to go "beyond the limits" of what is right for you.
