LIfe Coaching - is it really worth it?

I stumbled on a very interesting article from CBSNews.com where they break down some myths about Professional Life Coaching. 

The basic premise of the article is this -  you need to be wise when choosing the right life coach.

Being a life coach does not require any sort of certification, there isn't one regulated price on life coaching - it's a very wide open field. Which is good, but it also means you need to make sure you do the right research before investing in a life coach. 

I was recently a guest on John Lee Dumas "Entrepreneur On Fire" podcast. 

The comments, emails and registrations have been more of a tidal wave than a ripple. With an audience that covers 143 countries and has an average download of 825,000 listens per month explains the depth and breadth of John's show.

I have received multiple interest for one on one life coaching, group coaching and mastermind groups from far away as Northern Ireland and Australia. This is evidence of the hunger men have to impact their families and their local communities.

 Here's another "top 5" list to help kick your week off right. Enjoy!

1. Don't try to do it all today.
2. Start today, usually tomorrow never happens.
3. Eat the ugliest frog first. 
4. Get a general consensus from a trusted few because we have blind spots.
5. Trust your spouse on many things because they know you better than anyone. She has a 6th sense that you don't have.

REASON 1: As a Christ follower first and foremost, you have to know Him personally and realize His divine authority over all creation.

You cannot grow alone when the supreme heavenly father has a unique plan for your life.

God reveals our life incrementally as we follow him on a daily basis and cultivate our faith. God orders our steps as we diligently search his will. Other Christians are a great source of strength and wisdom and the Bible clearly tells us to forsake not the assembling of the saints.

Corporate worship is a God directed plan that helps us spiritually mature and allows for interaction with other believers. During immense study and prayer our true motives are revealed and hopefully humility is exercised.

Realizing we are simply stewards over what God has entrusted in us will cause extreme care in the way we prepare to handle our resources. Being aware of Gods grace and compassion will create in us a desire to honor our fellow man in a way that we want to be treated.
