Through the pandemic that we have been suffering, there have been many things that the government has done to greatly damage the entrepreneur and small business owner. Putting aside the health risks of the virus, the vast majority of entrepreneurs have been crushed by their local governments. There have been federal programs and guidelines and even state programs and guidelines; but it is the local municipalities and health departments that have greatly affected these businesses. So what’s the solution? This also goes for the racial injustice that we have been seeing in the country.
What is the solution? What do we do?
The world has come to a point that it begs us to make statements and lead from a national level. The problem is that these leaders didn’t start out at the top. If we want to be leaders and lead by example, it starts in our own hearts. Which is hard to hear. We want something that is an action. We want a solution that fixes the problem. The reality is that what we have been dealing with over the past few weeks and months; the solution does not involve large scale action. The solutions start with us and then moves forward. If we want to change the lives of those around us, who are different than us, it starts very small and very local. If you want to have control over your business, it’s also very small and it starts local. The solutions are not massive and large scale which makes them hard. It’s hard because we have to take local action and that action requires change.
So what’s the solution? What do we do? What we don’t do, is attempt to be a global or national leader unless we have the right and have helped develop the local community that allows us to do so. The solution is right in front of you. The solution starts with you and what is going on right in front of you.
